Magnolia Sports Complex

GRASS VALLEY, CA - Bear River Recreation & Park District is pleased to announce the construction of 2.5 acre synthetic multi-use athletic field at the Magnolia Sports Complex in South Nevada County. Construction will be starting mid-June.

This project is funded by Bear River Recreation & Park District’s Capital Improvement Funds, Meyer Family Trust and voter approved California State Proposition 40 in a joint usage agreement with Pleasant Ridge Union School District.

Koch Excavating, Inc., Penn Valley, was awarded the contract in the competitive bid.

The field, when completed in September, will be available for soccer, lacrosse, other field sports, softball and baseball.

Bear River Recreation & Park District has been serving South Nevada County residents since 1994 with youth and adult classes, camps and recreational sports.
